Moving between percussion, composition, and experimentation, Daan Wilms explores the sounds hidden within materials—water, stone, metal, and objects not yet considered instruments. Inspired by complex natural structures, cycles of transformation, and the presence of water, his work uncovers relationships between matter, resonance, and time.
Belgian-born and Munich-based, Daan has performed at festivals including La Biennale di Venezia and the Salzburger Festspiele. He was the first musician in Germany to complete the postgraduate programme Excellence in Performance.
